and honestly, if you have a large group of young people ranging from the ages of 14-30, it's probably a good idea to keep condoms on hand
So, condone all types of sex in a group setting? I disagree.

Where were these girls and automatically supplied condoms when I was a boy scout
For real, they certainly didn't give our scout leader any condoms at our jamborees...

Ok.
But young people are going to have sex whether you agree with it or not.
I'd rather them use condoms.
You appear to be working under the false assumption that young people base their sexual activities on the availability of condoms.

The assumption that young people will use condoms, even if available, is also false.

I remember my days in, we were too busy to even worry about drink, that was for our dads after lights out!
Lol. It’s still the case in our Troop.
Lights out and the uptight adults crash, then the rest of us hit the whisky. To be clear, no one gets hammered.

That is from 2016, so this has been in place for the past 2 years? why are people just now freaking out about it?
Because they're inviting members from Canada and Mexico I would imagine.

Obviously didn’t go to Woodstock, nary a condom to be seen.

This article is from WorldNetDaily which is a super far right site that has repeatedly spread false info.
The only other sources for this I see are:
The Blaze - Glenn Beck founded site.
Daily Wire - Conservative site that promotes falsehoods regularly.
Charisma News - Their motto is "Informing Christians from Spirit-filled Perspective"
IPA (International Press Association) Which I can't find any info on except their site. Their top 3 headlines are this scout "story", a story about a Monster Truck event, and a bunch of articles about the US moving their Israeli embassy to Jerusalem.
Anyone else see a pattern here?

get out of here with your rational thinking. Did you not read the headline? Isn't that enough for us to be outraged?

It is a world jamboree. As has been said many times, and ignored by many posters here. the Scouting movement in the rest of the world has been co-ed. Of course, the rest of the world has much more liberal thoughts on sex than we in the US do.
There will be people from all over the world who are there.

What are others saying about this?
John Stemberger, Florida Family Policy Council president and chairman of the board for the Christian scouting organization Trail Life USA, told Charisma News:
In light of the mandatory condom policy, it is not clear how far down the rabbit hole the Boy Scouts will continue to fall. With the addition of condoms and alcohol, the World Jamboree is starting to sound more like a 1960s Woodstock festival rather than a campout that parents would want to send their children to! All of this should be deeply disturbing to the churches that are chartering Boy Scout Troops. These policies present a clear youth protection problem that the BSA absolutely refuses to recognize. The fact that they are requiring that condoms be “readily accessible” and are communicating this to everyone—including youth participants—shows that the BSA is both anticipating and facilitating sexual conduct between minors at this event. These policies are both outrageous and completely irresponsible.

Did you read the policy? I agree that the language of the article makes it a conservative spin. I also understand that liberal media sources never spin things. Right?
