All it is going to take is one unfortunate run-in with something other than a drunk fan and that'll be the end of me going to any LSU sports at all. Im not going to risk my or my family's safety to watch LSU if LSU can't promote a safe atmosphere to do so.

You are not the only one. That is why it is important to let Scott know this. I didn't go to the game last night, but I've noticed it week by week. I thought it was because I was getting older, but here we are.

As for the Police, half are just frustrated they can't go to the game, while the other half is just frustrated. So, unless someone is shot, they will do nothing.

Scott just finished his third lunch and is getting ready for his first dinner. He isn’t worried about our complaints.

I know your post is a joke, but trust me, he is worried about GameDay experiences - especially Football. We really have to contact him and the local media.

Then it ain’t tailgating it’s coaching.

If we were 10-0, but people were worried about getting shot or felt unsafe then they would not go to games. The culture at LSU has become off putting, and I am not referring to the football team.

Not personally, but I've contacted him a couple of years ago and he actually called me to talk about it. However, I do know a BOS member and Football Season Tickets and High Attendance are a MUST.

But, we have to let him know why we won't be going to games anymore or not buying season tickets.

Make people buy tailgate permits and if you don’t have one shut them down. The cost increase will weed out the garbage or go to a dry campus which is what they really need to do.

Are you serious? You are openly advocating for a DRY CAMPUS? WTF?

And LSU has been wanting for years to try and charge people to tailgate. Enough of you idiots keep this talk up and they will use it as an excuse to do this.

Maybe LSU has about the same pull as the Mayor's office on reporting on their failures. It's just bad actors, shrug.

Tighten it up LSU.

Unfortunately, campus has become “da club” for local residents of BR. They crash on campus student events and pack the campus on game day. There was a DJ set up in front of the smoke shop just off campus across from Chimes. Huge crowds of teens and 20 something’s all over the street. The Baptist Collegiate building was hit by several stray bullets from the gun fight. Game Day crowd control is a very serious issue that no one seems to know how to address.

frick that, you have to pay enough to tailgate on campus now anyway.

However NYC did something in the early 90s I believe where they targeted petty crimes like graffiti, vandalism, etc and enforcing the small laws prevented the small crimes which trickled down to preventing larger ones. That may be the better approach, cracking down on loud music, rowdy behavior, etc. Stuff like that the normal tailgaters aren’t doing anyway.

Huge issue from what I understand is the BRPD shortage means there’s a lot of cops & sheriffs from other jurisdictions working gameday. Obviously they’ll intervene in serious matters but they aren’t going to be interested in writing a bunch of misdemeanor citations in another jurisdiction.
