My neighbor starts at 7, is a deputy sheriff, and gives concealed carry classes. It's like a war around here sometimes, but everyone in the neighborhood is glad he's there.

Yeah, I really dont want much land to maintain, there is enough public land around here.

But I would love to be able to shoot off the back porch.

I suspect we'll inherit my in laws place at some point, but it's 400 miles from us. I don't know what we'll do with it.

My dad sold my grandparent's land maybe 6-7 years ago because nobody had time to keep it up. I do miss having a place to go ride 4 wheelers in the woods and shoot guns whenever I wanted.

You could frick his world up if that creek does not originate on his land.

My FIL's goal when he retired was to be able to hunt on his own property.

Same! Well I don’t care about hunting, but my goal in life is to own enough land to shoot anytime I want. I want to shoot random shite like the YouTube guys do. I have an uncle with such land but it’s a three hour drive. One day.

He probably saw, through his rifle scope, that you are awake and drinking coffee instead of asleep. Courteous.

So where does the water go now? You can’t just fill in a creek and the water magically disappear.

For the past 4 weeks in a row, my "neighbor" who is about a mile or so through the woods has decided Sunday morning at 8 am is the perfect time to unload every weapon he has.

The dude has probably unloaded 1k rounds in the past 4 weeks easily. It's great to hear echoing through the property while I'm drinking coffee.

That's exactly the way it is around my house .... sometimes I contribute out on my range, here on my property.

Sometimes the new city fricks, moving all around, complain to the Sheriff. He tells them to get fricked.

We have Rights out here in the country.

Fire off a few rounds of the loudest gun you have at midnight for a few nights.

If you value piece and quiet, get a country place surrounded by people with large tracts loaded with cows, horses, etc. Where I live, it is nothing but cow pasture one mile or so in every direction. There is occasional hunting, but it is always very subdued.

Every night between 2 and 3 AM, a possum strolls down the driveway and my lab goes nuts.

There are 2 creeks that feed my pond, since they built one no longer flows, my assumption is it's flowing into the back creek that is off his property.
