In Inner Mongolia, there isn’t much water there. This isn’t directly going to kill many people. However, good luck getting their cities water. The good news is tons of people in Inner Mongolia still live like their ancestors minus the mass rape and pillaging, they just go to market for batteries for their radios to get information. So at least they’re largely self sufficient. The people in the scattered cities around there are fricked though.

I spent considerable time in Inner Mongolia, and it is pretty neglected. Theres a lot of money there to be made (if you are Han Chinese and move there), but the ethnic Mongolians live pretty roughly. Beijing doesn't care much about them. Not surprising that the infrastructure is crumbling.
