Depends if I have meetings or sites to visit on the same day as the flight.

Is this common? Every time I have flown for business, my first meeting was not until the following day.

99% of the time I'm wearing tennis shoes, sweatpants/shorts, t-shirt. The most I'll ever be dressed up is lululemon casual pants and a dri-fit polo if it's for work. Traveling is already miserable enough, the last thing I'm going to do is make it more miserable just so I can impress some random people at the airport that I'll never see again.

i never knew the airport had a dress code or that people actually gave a shite about what other people wear there.

Seems like most people dress up to show status rather than out of necessity

Both. Chino’s and a nice but comfortable polo or button down.

Khakis and golf shirt and quarter zip pullover. Layered for temp differences.

tennis shoes to deal with feet swelling on long flights, layered cloths if necessary to hold down baggage weight, always have a spare set of meeting clothes in carry on bag.

Nice blue jeans, T-shirt (no logos or designs) and tennis shoes.

Makes it easier for security.

I don’t think you need to dress up for the airport. But you shouldn’t wear pajamas or clothes where flab is hanging out either. But I feel that way about what people were in public in general.

Pants and closed toe shoes because I’m not a child. Normally a t-shirt and I’ll have a light vest or long sleeve t-shirt in my carry on.

I'm gonna be sitting in a cramped tube between two other seats (because I'm cheap) for at least two hours and inexplicably sweat from my pits despite being chilly. Mark me down for a t-shirt and shorts every time.

No, but my dress code for airport attire is close toed shoes and pants.

This. While a low probability of happening imagine exiting a plane crash in flip-flops or crocs.

Full disclosure: I'm currently sitting at my desk in a pair of Crocs.

I dress decently but not over the top. Usually Polo, Boots and jeans. Might throw on a hat if it’s an early flight and don’t feel like brushing my hair

I read all the way to the first response, and he nailed it.

Shut it down.
