Oh yeah! Stale over priced popcorn, water down Coke and hypodermic needles stuck in the seats. Good times!
But "Jaws" though! All the women pulling their legs into the seat when the shark music started. Priceless.

nah, most movies suck arse, and sitting there with the general public is fricking brutal.

Creativity has fallen off a cliff since the 90s or early 00s. Movies today don't hold a candle to the older ones. It's not just because I'm getting older either. Where are movies this good now? Just off the top of my head from the 90s.

Good Will Hunting
Tombstone
Casino
Silence of the Lambs
Forrest Gump
Saving Private Ryan
Seven
Pulp Fiction

it's not 1995. there are plenty of movie theaters that are nothing like that.

You feel that way, too? I thought I was just getting old and crochety.

Of course, that is still probably true.

The only theater I’ve really been to regularly over the last 7-10 years or so closed. It was an older theater that only showed stuff just out of regular theaters but not yet streaming or on DVD/BluRay. It used to cost $1 but they upped it to a whopping $1.50. Made money in concessions obviously but I probably took the kids to 75 movies over the years there. Covid pretty much did it in. I doubt I’ll ever go to real theaters that much anymore. My kids probably will once they can drive.

They haven't made a good movie in almost 30 years, so I doubt it.

I liked a few of those but they aren't great films to me that people will remember in 30s years.

Haven't been to a movie in probably almost 10 years. I really don't see the appeal in going to watch a movie in a theater with other people around anymore

If its good I'll just wait until its released after
