I will be pleasantly surprised if even 1 of these gets built.
It absolutely DOES NOT fit with anything currently downtown. But, someone has to go first to bring Lafayette into the future. Hopefully someone with the Downtown Authority can at least do decent work in preserving what needs to be preserved & guide what will be built in a way that actually makes sense/looks good. Wishful thinking @ 100%. But it sure beats complaining about it.
Who knows? Stuff like this could be the push that the I49 corridor needs to finally be funded/started/completed.

I REALLY hope this gets built...
That first Festival International when people head over to the courthouse stage, and instead of seeing the sun sink peacefully behind the court house roof as the band tunes up, they see this.. The melt will be all-time

The planned 6-floor, 4-star hotel will enter the Lafayette market through a Florida-based hotel developer who says that they are very excited about this opportunity. The individual shall remain private until things move along further.

Way too much going on in this floorplan. Less is more.

I'd rather just spend much less per square foot and live in a very nice place in Greenbriar, Bendel, or Shannon.

The first thing I thought of when looking at the picture of the buildings was the Jetsons. I don't find these buildings attractive at all.

Trump Towers coming soon?

That would certainly upset the Freetown and Saint Street bros.

Who didn’t see this coming?
Two towers? You misheard, we only meant one.

So it's going to be a hotel.
Is this the right spot for a hotel?

Hey now, each unit comes with a wet bar. That's worth a mil just by itself.
