Collateral damage by association... if the good Mayor-President $haron Weston Broome Esquire, B.A. is paying for him to eat up the republican vote, she wasted her money.

Found it interesting that Broome didn't offer a rebuttal to anyone other than Watson, which she did multiple times. Yes, Watson pretty much called her out on specific issues, but others did too.

She definitely sees him as the biggest threat from the other side.

I found Marcelle's demeanor and lack of preparation stood out. Don't know why I would expect Marcelle to be prepared though.

If the election was tomorrow, I think I would go:

Watson
Carter

Big gap

Piazza
E Guarantee

Huge gap

Broome

Huge gap

Marcelle

I think I’d go Marcelle over Broome. She’s not a phony like the mayor is.

E’s my #2 right now due to his school choice program.

I'd have to give E the edge here. E at least has some original thoughts...however asinine some of them may be

Piazza is an empty suit with rehearsed typical politician sound bites, despite his claims that he's not one. He seems to want to ride the fence as much as possible in hopes of being some middle ground candidate "Yeah I'm a republican...but not really I voted for Obama x2, SWB, JBE so I'm more independent...or really a fiscal conservative, I don't know what that means but it always sounds good when you tell people you're that." Yep tons of fiscal conservatives voted for Obama...twice.

He's done all of jack shite to even be qualified to run a city. You'd think he's built an empire with the way he presents himself.

The one most prepared imo was Guiard
Not saying that means anything other than he can form a rational though quickly

I don’t think Marcelle has the support from many outside of her district

The school choice thing is a state issue. EBR Parish Govt. doesn’t even run the local schools or fund them.
While it’s a good idea it means nothing and would never become anything if he’s elected mayor.

If he was running for governor or the legislature it would be important.

how could Piazza say that he is a fiscally conservative republican when he is on tape saying he voted for JBE and Obama?

"hey black people I voted for that Obama guy you like so much!"

Oh I absolutely can't stand Piazza, but in a world where Watson and Carter are eliminated and I would be choosing between Piazza, Broome or LaToya 2.0, I would pinch my nose and vote for him. That's really the only circumstance I'm voting for Piazza or E.
