Carter or E are probably the most capable but I don't think they will have enough support. Watson seems like the most capable that could potentially win though.
The issue continues to be why a Broome or C. Denise could even sniff a run-off. There shouldn't be a chance in hell that either of them could win. In a sane world they don't get 10% total. Neither are qualified to do anything except divide and ruin.

Gotta hope the NBR vote splits between Broome and Denise and neither make the runoff
The biggest challenge to Broome will be Denise

I miss Kip Holden. He wasn’t perfect but he’s a good person at heart and was honestly looking out for everyone and trying to keep this city together

Denise will carry her district and that’s about it. The average black person not from hood isn’t voting for her.

He got pretty arrogant and began to push grandiose spending schemes and fought SG, but compared to Broome he looks so much better.

On the flip side, Mayor Broome has let so many projects, from the grandiose to the most modest, die on the vine for want of leadership and effort. I’ll take grandiose vision over no vision any day.
Kip was trying to make BR a city that it wasn’t, but one that he believed it could become. Broome is just letting the city die, content with being lord of the ashes.

That’s crazy that swb is going to release all of the black prisoners

He has really been emphasizing the police becoming fully trained in martial arts

Watson seems like a Republican I can vote for, but I didn't really like his little spats with Broome. Seems childish. Not really enough to sway a vote but I was a little disappointed in that. He seems like a guy who cares.
Broom knows he's the Competition

Yeh, because martial arts are a very valuable tool when you're being shot at.

Based on how you think people do/should act in the Parish or based on past reality?
As bad as the candidates are, I think it's kind of foolish to believe a Republican will win. Though, I suppose the run off was fairly close last time, so there is hope.
Baton Rouge has had only 2 Republican mayors since the 1870s, one of which changed to Republican while in office.
Edit to add: I misread the poster's post. Saw an "it" when it was an "I." Downvoted myself.

Umm- based on how he would vote. Amd I’m pretty close to that myself.

It’s possible if Central & Zachary get out & vote

Hahaha. Damn....I read his "I" as "it" ("how IT would go," rather than "how I would go.")
My apologies to that poster.

Yes, choosing between Don Quixote and Atilla the Hun, I would choose Don.

And SG and if folks in SBR, Tara, Broadmoor and Kennilworth realize how Broome is bringing us down,
