Why apologize for assuming most likely choice when it’s not reported initially?
Maybe if we got back into reporting descriptions of perps up front no assumptions would have to be made. For now it’s common sense to assume any violent crime reported without race used in description of suspects as being the one race that commits 50% of the violent crime across the nation and probably more in and around BR. Assumptions are all we get told initially until a video or picture is shown or leaked later that can then be shown without news having to comment on their race.
Anyway what part of Ben Hur isn’t in Baton Rouge (basing on EBRSO releasing video)? I thought city even annexed that unconnected part across Nicholson to River Rd. The sections of the road really need different names if you still can’t directly travel from one end to the other without “detouring” on other streets.
Edit: I just saw the apartments more on Burbank and another on other side of Rotolo’s (which is Legacy I believe) use a Ben Hur address. The street itself including ROW seems to fall within BR, but the actual property is just outside it. Also there is that section of just Nicholson (maybe along with Arlington Prep) that oddly was not annexed when surrounding area was.

My oldest son just graduated LSU this winter and will enroll into law school in august. My oldest daughter will probably end up there in spring of ‘23. Don't remember there being a Ben Hur Road in BR. I always think about Sheriff JW Pepper when I hear Ben Hur's name mentioned.
It saddens me to know Clifton James died in 2017.

Recall when there was a shooting at a gun store in NOLA area and some assumed it was a gun nut white Trump type? When it turned out they were wrong in their most reasonable assumption when race was not initially reported, they got fricking ROASTED on here.
By your standard, no apology was due. Reasonable assumption, just wrong, so all is good.

They released a blurry photo. The only person that gives them away is the giant fat dude. So if you know two skinny dudes that hang out with one big fat dude then you might recognize them. but other than that its a blurry photo of dudes with hoodies and masks on.
