Man up: Airline Highway from NOLA to BR.
Once you get to BR, work the President Streets.
Surprised no one has suggested the Tammany Trace.
There’s an almost 100 foot elevation gain over its 27.2 miles.

I used to hike the Clark Creek outer trail a couple times with all my gear to get ready for trips. It’s around 6 miles and is a pretty good workout. No long climbs but lots of ups and downs.
There is a system of trails in Clear Springs, MS. They are long but not too exciting. Good for getting miles in

Just outside Sicily Island are a couple of surprisingly challenging trails with elevation and waterfalls. Well worth the trip.

Tunica hills is decent.
Aren't those actually in Mississippi?
NVM, I'm thinking of Clark Creek, not Tunica Hills WMA.

Get the All Trials app. It’s the best hiking app I’ve found.
I’ve never been to Tunica Hills. Caroline Dormand, Wild Azalea and Chicot all have pretty decent, lengthy trails, but it’s just walking in the woods. And some are logged and not very scenic.
