I always have to chuckle at the people who talk about paying government employee salaries as if those employees don’t also pay the same taxes.

Well, Whoa, they don't pay social security taxes, so there's that. And they may pay the same sales taxes I do, but my benefits aren't government funded and my salary doesn't come from taxes. So I often feel like I pay more than my fair share since it seems I'm paying for everyone else's shite ands mine.

Yep. My kids were overly force fed by the LGBTQ in early school years (it's in EVERY school system BTW). It seems they/them have found a way to advance by altering minds in the formative years.

right - but the EBR public library donated the books within the last 5 years or so

Very disappointing because when I worked there it was a place for everyone

Now agendas are pushed. I hope it stops soon.

f I had to do it over again or advise a kid what to do: Government sector

My family has a long history of govt sector jobs. Mostly started with military and LEO but has expanded since then. The motto has always been retire early and often.

Years ago it was accepted that you make less in public vs private but you have better benefits such as holidays, time-off, retirement, and health benefits. At some point they decided that if public salaries didn’t compete with private salaries they wouldn’t attract quality workers. One result is that the public sector enjoys the best of both worlds in many situations.
