I personally know 4 people who have died from COVID-19 and my 42 year old co-worker barely made it out of the hospital.
But yea, 99.8%, no big deal right?
Fair enough.
So what is your "exit strategy" for all of this? Or is it "social distancing" and masks forever? Or at least until the most concerned among us feel "safe"?
And what happens when the next "pandemic" virus rolls out from Asia? Do we restart this whole silly process all over again? Because the only certainty in all of this is that there WILL be another virus that originates in Asia. Likely within the next 3-5 years, if not sooner. How do we know that? Because it has been happening for decades, if not longer.
My heart truly breaks for anyone who has lost a loved one as a result of covid. But does that mean we should completely alter the way we enjoy life forever when from a proportional standpoint those deaths are the VAST exception...not the rule?

Okay. I'll play... What is the percentage that actually occurs?

I truly love how people keep throwing this stat out. Even if people recover, there is still a chance they could suffer complications down the road still as a result of initial contraction.
Now do every illness ever.
If you're that scared, enjoy your bubble inside your house. Don't make my life miserable because your non-contributing arse is scared of the common head cold.

Make sure you wear your muzzle cuck
The real problem is in people breathing. If more people would just stop breathing we could truly flatten the curve.

You all want everyone else to make exceptions for "you".
If you are scared, you make the exception for yourself.
Go get the vaccine.

"Changes in ventilation systems"? I would like to know more about this. I am sure a lot of places can't just go make big expensive changes.

I must have a knack for blocking it's posts out. First time experiencing this level of ignorance.

And if you get chickenpox you are susceptible to shingles later in life. And if your mom used fertility drugs in the 50s you died from cancer before you turned 40. That's life.

I only now of two people who contracted Covid, and both were asymptomatic.
So ya, 99.8% is pretty much no big deal. 3 million people die in this country every year. Deal with it.

quote:So we should NEVER go out again without a mask?? What is your solution then to a virus that has a 99.8% survival? Our whole house had it. No complications and no long term issues.

A mask over your bhole seems more reasonable than the gene therapy trial everyone is running to sign up for.
