First, I am sorry for your loss.

Right now, her death is still new, and this is the perfect time for you to work on yourself. Physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. Work on these 4 things daily, and you will become the best version of yourself.

Every day is a new beginning. Take a deep breath, smile, and start again.

I lost my Uncle, Grandma, 2 good friends and both of my in-laws (7 weeks apart) in the past 12 months. It has been the worst year of our lives as far as dealing with that hurt and loss. The Holidays pretty much sucked, but having our kids and grandkids around has helped. I guess only time can heal things. Sorry for your loss, I can't imagine losing my wife.

Peace and love brother.

Take all the time that you need to make sure YOU are good and just remember the sun is going to come up in the morning.
Every single storm runs out of rain bro. Hang in there.

Should have married her.

You’re mad at yourself.

Hope the good Lord gives you comfort during this difficult time. I have lost a cousin, brother, dad, FIL, mom and two uncles over the last couple of years. Been a rough time. But God has provided comfort when I needed it. First holidays this year with both my parents.
Time will help with healing. Be thankful that you knew such an amazing woman and that she loved you. One of God’s blessings in life. Some people don’t get to experience that kind of relationship.

Keep going Jim. Honor her life and y’all’s love for each other each day. From how you describe her, I think she would want that for you.

I'm just seeing this a year later, I hope you've been able to heal and experiencing better dads. What a incredibly well written tribute to her.

Hopefully you have had/will have many better days since and going forward!

I'm going over some of the beginning posts as well as the most recent and it seems you have reached some measure of closure and the anguish has reached a quiet and reasonable level of acceptance. Hopefully it will get even better.

On a side note, I don't understand why and how you received the downvotes for posting your honest emotions on this great loss.
