Not sci fi fan but was fun for 80,s nostalgia and very familiar with the film locations across north georgia so that made it cool as well.

Actually stumbled (ran) upon filming on the railroad tracks at Stone Mountain years ago by mistake while running and in the zone.

Sister’s wedding reception was at the old B&B house used the last 3 seasons.

The Mall scenes from the former Gwinnett Place mall took me back. 80’s mall shopping and 70’s department store shopping was a special time.

would not and can not recommend the following seasons. Just stop at 1. I haven’t seen the final season and don’t have any interest. It felt like a chore getting through some seasons to see how it plays out, but these episodes are so long and reviews online and from wife and friends haven’t been good.

Wait what? Season 4 was really good. 2 and 3 were, as well. 5 was decent, but not as good as the rest. I guess we will agree to disagree on this one.

My wife wanted to watch it. I tried for a few episodes. I couldn't get into it.

Each one of these shows has 10x the depth, character development, plot etc. than Stranger Things. I watched season 1-3 and by 4 I lost interest in watching the Gen Z cast try and kill the upside down world creatures for the umpteenth time.

I feel like I’m lost when it comes to pop culture. I rarely watch any TV, Netflix, etc. at all. Almost nothing. Probably not even 1 hour a week

Watched the first three seasons with my daughter. Great bonding experience there, honestly. Plus the nostalgia was perfect since I grew up in that era.

I was looking forward to watching the last two seasons together (we were behind obviously) and the other day she told me she wasn't interested in the show any longer. This after even taking a trip to Dallas, I think, to go to the ST store and spend hundreds on merch about three years ago.

I asked her why, and it boiled down to her being tired of having the gay agenda shoved down her throat. Same girl who has two really close friends who are gay, so calling her a homophobe won't play there either.

Fatigue.

I watched season 1, episode 1. Never made it to episode 2. My daughter wants me to watch it but I don’t think I ever will.
FWIW- I grew up in 80’s. ET and Goonies was our sci fi.

Also remember watching Mork and Mindy.
