Yeah, its winter and the humidity is low. You probably sleep with your mouth open.

Is it because you have deductible? Healthcare is a massive concern. I had some health issues pop up last year and it's crazy how much it all cost me

Even with a deductible my insurance almost always negotiates the actual price I pay down. Except on these images I’ve been getting. But it’s insane that the price I pay via insurance, even when they’re not covering anything is higher than me just going in with zero insurance.

Well seeing as I can’t breathe through my nose the past week. Yes.

2 paragraphs) if I was your doctor and you were having bronchitis like symptoms with only the occasional stance speck of blood every now and then, especially at your age, there really isn’t any strong arguments of that a CT is necessary.

That was the first time this happened.

The mucus is like 75-80% red with tiny clots forming in it this time around. Has not lessened after about 4 days. The first time around that happened one day then started turning to diminishing streaks.

However this time around my throat feels a lot rawer. I have an ENT appointment on Tuesday to get her to do a scope on me to see if it’s my throat.

This will either be a nothing burger or very bad news.

But I’m thinking nothing burger.

Lay off the sauce.

Then just pay it without insurance. Pretty simple.

The nights before this started both times were some of the rawest my throat has ever felt. Like dried out sandpaper.

If your issues weren’t so concerning, I’d be highlighting how well you are setting yourself up for the inevitable homosexual jokes.

Feels like most of the medical people I deal with are barely concerned at all.

He was. CT came back today all clear outside of some minor and typical findings.

Hiatal hernia confirmed (long suspected), a small diverticulum that’s super common, and a small portion of my lungs didn’t inflate fully but was not concerning.

No lymph nodes swollen or masses or anything else scary thank Christ. Going to buy a carton of Marlboro Reds to celebrate.

Every year. Had it done a week before this started. I have mildly high blood sugar.

Is this cause for concern if you substitute "mucus" for "semen"?

Saw a 28 year old PA who was FLOORED my doctor hadn’t ordered a CT yet. I had had 2 normal chest X-rays now and she told me to demand a CT from my doctor. So called my doctor and he orders one. I try and ask why he hadn’t gotten one before and got no answer. I think it’s kind of bullshite if he doesn’t think I need one to change his mind because some PA is screaming for or was just that lackadaisical about it to the point of neglecting my care. Obviously both are not ideal.

Surprise, a PA playing Dr. Your MD probably said “frick it, I don’t need this shite”. Go collect the money from the overstepping PA.

Whatever you find out seek to learn as much as you can about it if it is something chronic and not just a passing thing. I have two children in the medical profession and both will tell you that our system is not designed to fix anything... just treat and relieve sypmtoms and send you on your way.

I am in my 60's and when I got about 62 I started having several "maint issues' and the more doctors you see the more stories you get and many are contradicting the prior doc. There are good providers out there but you have to recognize one when you see one and telling you what you want to hear does not make them good.
