Nah, my father in law has a mullet and cigarette boat. He’s the fricking man

Yeah, mine is practically begging me to go down to Venice and be his fishing buddy for a week because he's tired of going by himself.

That would suck so hard having shitty in laws like OP.

Don’t marry someone with a pathetic family. It’s that simple.

Remember, you don’t marry a person, you marry their whole family.

So you’re concerned about your MIL’s drinking problem, but rely on her to watch your child three days a week?

I'd move to be near your folks for the sake of your child.
Great grandparents are priceless. You're basically choosing for your daughter to be around trashy grandparents, rather than good grandparents.

Do yall really HAVE to live close to one of your parents?

Daycare is expensive I get it but that's part of having kids.

It’s so disappointing cause I always hoped I’d get a father in law who hunts and is a cool dude

If it makes you feel any better, my father in law is everything yours is not.

I feel your pain. I have too many pathetic alcoholics in my extended family. I have so little respect for alcoholics, they disgust me

Take your mother in law aside and PIIHB. Then take your wife aside and repeat. Problem solved.

Ditto. I’m shooting the shite with my FiL and MiL right now and having a great time. He has fantastic hunting land and has a boat and friends with private lakes that I get invites to through him. He’s a redneck from Mississippi but a fantastic dude.

Love my in-laws. I married the wife just to have them as my own.

My ex MIL forgot to buckle the car seat in because of she was tipsy. So when she turned, the baby and car seat went rolling across the backseat....she did this twice with two different kids. Another time she called my wife to say she had picked up our son but dropped her phone in her cup....of wine.

Honestly, I'd have probably dumped her after I met her parents.
