About $ 100 Bucks...
We got married on a tiny Island in the 10 Thousand Islands in the Everglades.
Went fishing an hour later..

I’d rather give my daughters the money. Most newlyweds could use extra cash, if I remember right.

About 12k…120 guests got married in Vegas…it was a blast. Still have friends talk about how much fun it was…
Her dad paid, my parents paid for the rehearsal dinner, it was about $1500.
This was about 12 years ago.

Wife and I did. 10k in Negril and that paid for the wedding and a week long honey moon.

Had 26 guests show up and it was great. We had a reception in Youngsville at my dads before the wedding so people who weren’t traveling could celebrate.

Our wedding itself was around $4K for everything, including her dress, the venue, flowers, the cake, etc. It was a 2:30 wedding, so we had hors d'oeuvre instead of an kind of meal.

I paid for it. Our honeymoon cost a little more.

Now, my first wedding was about $20K paid for by my FIL. I paid for the honeymoon.

3 years later she moved out and took all the money from our bank account as I have mentioned on here before. He was pissed about it.

$1500 back in 1988, reception at the Fairwood CC and my wife and I paid for it, her parents were broke so we saved up for a year.

My brother now tells my his daughter's wedding is going to cost him $50K.

Not married. If I were to can’t say I am interested in throwing any sort of party … but really wouldn’t be my decision anyway

We didn't have a formal wedding. Been married close to 20 years. It doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things. My wife's parents don't have a lot of money. I'd have never asked them for a dime.

About 30k including the honeymoon. Her dad gave us half and I covered the other half.

It was a great wedding, at an amazing venue, with great people, and great food. It's something we will only do 1 time in our entire lives.

I don't regret it at all.

I have always thought you sounded pretty happy. The wedding day is just a party, to others. For the groom and bride, it should mean much more. Congrats on your longevity in love. It is a rarity.

Don't blow a shite ton of money on a wedding. Put your foot down and thank me later.

Love these responses. Some people actually want to have a big reception, and some of us aren’t so poor that it isn’t a one or the other wedding or save situation.

You spend your money how you want baw, don’t worry about how anyone else spends theirs.
