I think I have a warrant in some shithole town in central Georgia. Got a speeding ticket a couple years ago and never paid or went back

Basically no one is willing to extradite from out of state for a traffic warrant. With that said, some are willing to hold you if you happen to pass through the state again.

I’ll have to deal with it eventually when I renew my license. When I pull it up on the app it shows suspended but I’ve been pulled over several times and they never mentioned it.

Be careful. I don't know the laws in Georgia, but in many jurisdictions, Louisiana included, driving under suspension is a misdemeanor criminal offense.

Depends on the mood of the officer and how long it's been since they've had a good shite.

Got a parking ticket in college. Stopped in where you pay them and the lady was a real bitch. I asked her if I really needed to pay it and she snapped back at me almost yelling YES YOU HAVE TO PAY IT.
I told her well this says my tag starts with NBC and my tag is NBG..... pissed her off worse she snatched the ticket from my hand and told me to get out of there.

Pay attorney $150 to get it tossed, they’ll drop it to low level bs that won’t hit your insurance.

I would just say I don't believe I was speeding. Question the officer's ability to be accurate on speed detection due to his inability to fill out a citation with the proper information. Judge will throw it out on technicality.

I wish people would stop using the word “technicality” in a legal context. It’s practically never used correctly…

Anyway, the officer’s credibility is certainly relevant, and by no means a matter of technicality. With that said, good luck convincing a city/parish/mayor’s court judge to take your word over an officer they see all the time.

I can't believe all of these people would just pay the ticket outright.

Does no one here ask for a non-moving violation and a defensive driving course?

I had a similar situation where a cop screwed up my license plate number on a ticket and he had no hard evidence other than the usual "pacing" nonsense. The judge dismissed on "technicality" because if the license plate recorded on the ticket is wrong they are seizing you without probably cause, but on a legal avadavit.

I also sued that cop personally for it and he was not given QI.

And for the record I wasn't speeding. I was in the slow lane going the speed limit and someone decided to pass me going about 1 mph faster than me. The cop gets behind him, angrily maneuvered behind me and pulled me over maybe a minute after that. The guy was an a-hole. He didn't like that I didn't kiss his arse, ordered me out of the car and turned a 15 minute process into a 60 minute stop on my way to work.

Laplace to Kenner is 90ish in my experience. On the spillway of course.

Just a lovely idea. Will go over like a lead balloon.

You don’t need to pay an attorney. Writing the correct info on a ticket is a requirement and just getting the date wrong can be grounds for dismissing the ticket.

Oof, don't do that. At least call them and ask them if it can be reduced to a non-moving violation if you pay it

This, if your first inclination is to pay it.

They gave you a ticket saying you were in a vehicle you were not in with a tag number you don’t have?

Yes. That would be sufficient enough for a trooper screwup.
