Why do you think an OEM Toyota battery is trashy?

It looks worse than it is I'm betting. Mostly bolt on stuff and it doesn't appear it should have any suspension damage. No frame damage other than possibly at the very front which can be fixed easily.

Thankfully everyone is fine. I'm sure my wife and her sister will be sore today, but the 4 kids should all be fine.

The hwy where it happened is 3 lanes and not one person stopped to see if they were okay. Everyone just drove around. People disgust me.

Did anybody go to the hospital? Did the policeman give the other driver a sobriety test? If no to the first question, take her now and do test. Accident like that may take a day or two for unknown health issues show up. Kids too.

That is just awful. I am very glad that everyone is ok. I hope that the insurance company gives you a decent settlement.

Nice sloothing SS. They were at the neighborhood pools with the kids, went across the hwy to pick up pizza, then come back home. She was wearing one of those summer time swimsuit cover things.

The good news is if they total it, they're writing massive checks for totaled cars right now. The bad news is she might be waiting a month or more on a new car to arrive.

I was in an accident in March where my front end looked basically the same, but also my entire drivers side was destroyed. Insurance wrote me a check for $4,000 over what I paid for the vehicle 4 years ago (I buy vehicles in full, so the money went directly to me in one check).

Was able to get into a 2022 version of the vehicle and go a step up in class for like $5k out of pocket.

I did have to wait a long time, though. And that's with my best friend being my salesperson. Insurance only put me in a rental for a few days (warning to you in case yours is the same), which is such shite to me. Thankfully I have retired parents and just used one of their cars for a couple of months.
