They have already made big strides in reducing crime. They put the screws to gangs like ms13. They have had something like a 95+% drop in the murder rate over about 10 years. They imprisoned like 100k people over a few years.
Of course, the liberal ceybabies have been sounding the alarm on "human rights abuses". They're treating criminals like criminals and the do-gooders accuse the state of torture and no due-process. But I would bet if you asked the average 25-60 yr old living in El Salvador, they would be elated to experience the changes they've seen.
