I love how he pointed at that stupid arse chart as a mic drop level demolition of opposing arguments. He’s a fricking clown.

The areas are weird too. Why is Denham Springs grouped with Slidell when it's 5 miles from Baton Rouge?

Yeah that seems gerrymandered. It would be more reasonable to just measure it by the top 7-8 metros in the state.
Most of the population that lives around these areas works and shops there so it would be reasonable to assume they would be on a similar trajectory.

This is the LDH region map

Denham Springs is “north shore”

Thanks. I've never seen this before.

Not sure why it's set up that way but those are the LDH regions, not set up for this virus specifically.

Sucks that he is getting exposed to the clueless people that voted for him AFTER the election

There is no such thing as "Robust testing program in place for at-risk health care workers, including emerging antibody testing." The few antibody tests validated (i.e. reliable) by the FDA are not yet largely available to hospitals and clinics to carry out testing (I'm told by a local hospital lab tech). There are a large number of non-validated antibody test kits available, but they're not necessarily reliable and require confirmation by a validated test.

The meltdown on this board would be glorious if he used that chart to open NOLA while keeping BR, Northshore, Acadiana, and Monroe closed.

Wow, while JBE is still getting paid, he has the balls to tell everyone else to not work and earn income. Newsflash—government can’t be an Essential Business without their taxpaying customers-that is the businesses you are shutting down. Quit let doctors make economic decisions about our economy.

I 10,000 percent disagree with JBEs decision but how does it benefit him politically??? Especially since it seems like he caught a lot of other state and local politicians completely off guard.

At this point there should be nobody defending JBE. He is 100% doing this for political reasons, and it can’t be denied any longer
There are two logical ways to do this:
1. Use statewide data to make a statewide decision
Or
2. Use regional data to make regional decisions
Instead, he decided to use regional data to make a statewide decision. It’s completely illogical and can not be explained for any other purpose than political games
Here is the “data” he used by the way. As you can seed, there is no data just words....
Region 8 had 19 new cases yesterday. The entire region. Region 9 had 36 new cases...23 in St. Tammany which has been trending down for over two weeks.
Your post is 100% on point.

He’s a statist. Any action he can take that gives more power to the government gives him a tingle in his balls similar to the one most of us get watching Chase score that first TD against Alabama or watching Clyde’s spin move to go up by 2 scores in the 4th.

Looking at this data, we peaked at the number of hospitalized on 4/13 with 2,135. The number is now 1,683. Looking at the number on vents, we peaked at 563 on 4/6 and now 262.
Seems to me that the curve is flattening. Funny how you don't hear that anymore.

He changed it from “flattening the curve” to “limiting the spread” as soon as it was apparent the curve was flattening. He is a bald faced bald headed liar, and just like he loves jerking around Fortune 500 executives, he also relishes wielding his power over the people. Bear in mind, the people he is fricking over the most aren’t they ones that voted for him, his voters are sitting on their porch waiting for their check from the gubberment like always.

I have first hand knowledge of at least one meeting where he told an executive that he didn’t care if a major project came to Louisiana or went to Texas. So, it went to Texas. He is Edwin Lite
