Lol…I wish I had that feeling. Pretty sure Tech won’t cross the 50

But LSU's academic mission goes far beyond that. There's a big difference
Holy shat Bro! I almost spit out my coffee.
Do you work for LSU Admissions?! Sheesh

Louisiana sucks as a whole and the smartest and brightest do haul arse out of the state as soon as they can. Louisiana is a third world shithole for the most part.
If I had a grandchild choosing between LSU and UL-Ruston, I would do everything possible to get them to
Ruston.
The sad thing is the smartest kids from Louisiana are packing up and going to Arkansas, Mississippi, Mississippi State, Alabama, Texas, TCU…..and I sorta can’t blame them. And the private smaller private schools are getting more good students.
Louisiana needs to focus on making LSU the best school possible because as a flagship, LSU is a complete joke in every metric. Tech, if you are going to have two highly funded state institutions, Tech is the clear number two.

I like how every little directional school in Louisiana has X program that’s better than LSU’s
Especially when it isn't true. Go find any reputable source that ranks LaTech higher than LSU as an engineering school. US News, the most reputable list, certainly doesn't think so (125 to 178).

US News's methodology now gives more weight to factors that reflect a college's role in promoting social mobility. This includes measures related to how well a school helps economically disadvantaged students succeed.
Congrats on the social mobility trophy.

Mine certainly will be back and going to LSU. Don’t care what billboards state.

It’s humorous to me that LSU Alum can’t handle a little friendly billboard banter from lil ole Tech.
Looks like you sure are attracting the best & brightest now. Lol

Multiple electronic billboards on I-10 stating they are the #1 academic public university in the state.

Don’t think Tech is a better academic school than LSU but they may beat them in football tomorrow night. Have a strange feeling that an upset is coming.

Do we want scholars or do we want a winning teams? Not enough green for both fellas.

6 pages of trolling people taking it a little too seriously.
LSU’s budget is a universe above Tech’s and some posters let a little nudge get them all offended.
They may still be upset that time Tech was leading at halftime
We have no chance in this game. But if Tech wins, I may have to be banned for the amount of trolling I will do.

It's kinda like when Mobile trolls NOLA about being where the REAL Mardi Gras is

For decades the best and brightest have hauled arse out of Louisiana. The children of the best and brightest have no interest in coming back and going to LSU. So the kids LSU has to attract to stay open are the offspring of the not best and not brightest. So the academics slip a bit to match the capability of your student pool.
No, it’s lowering the lower end of admissions to grow class sizes to fund the ever expanding administration, low market value departments, and low value research

LSU is a semi pro sports organization that hands out some diplomas out of a sense of tradition.

I'm proud of my Boise State degree.
Doesn't make them barely more than a JUCO academically that just happens to have a nationally recognized football team.
And FWIW, Boise State and Tech are tied at 296. What a coincidence.

No—that was precisely my point. Especially here.
Well if they don't anyway, why is especially here warranted?
