That's just moronic. Knowing their location DOES NOT make decisions for them, idiot.
1 one her way to med school, owns her own car and condo. Was all state hs athlete, and works in her spare time for her independent spending money.
6rh grader has motorbike and 4 wheeler on farm, and hundreds of other situations that require us knowing. By me knowing, it allows him to make decisions and be more independent. You have it backwards.
But sure, I'll take your advice, as you answer between chores for your boss

I installed it temporarily when I was on a cross country road trip. Figured my family could see if I was stopped where I shouldn't be.
Deleted it when I was done. Massive battery hog.

Totally agree. It was super useful when they were learning to drive and riding with friends. The speedometer feature is awesome, IMO. Cuts down on speeding. I couldn't care less if it's "helicoptery"
I don't stalk my kids at all, but it's nice when they're at parties, hunting/fishing, etc. that I have a general idea of where they are. It's even useful tailgating if you're trying to catch up with people and you can't describe which purple tent you're in lol.
And also, kids all have each other on Snap Maps. This generation is used to being pretty transparent about their location.

I’m sure this may have been mentioned in the previous 12 pages , but I’m a fan just for the fact that I can jerk it and know for sure the wife is not walking in anytime soon

My kid is a freshman in college 4.5 hours away… when she drives home we check in on her.
Much easier to do that than text or call them and distracting them while driving especially since this is the first time she’s driven through some of these pretty remote areas.
Just because you have it, doesn’t mean you use it 24/7.

I have 2 of them. Both driving. I don't know where they are unless I ask them. Somehow they haven't gotten into any trouble, been arrested or knocked any chick's up yet.
My daughter hydroplaned at 10pm on Blackwater Rd closer to Zachary. She slid in a muddy ditch and her car turned on the roof. She called me hysterical and she had no idea where she was except Blackwater Rd in a curve. I had pulled out of the driveway with my other teenager at the time & told her to open life 360.
It was hard to find her knowing her location so I can’t imagine if she had been hurt and we didn’t have life 360.

The most reasonable excuse for using this spy app mentioned so far.

Im late to the party but just 2 comments:
1. You must not have driving age kids
2. I personally know a kid that this saved his life when he was carjacked by a drug dealer

There's like a 1 in a billion chance of that happening. Not worth it to take any sense of freedom, independence and responsibility away from your children and spy on your spouse.

I’m on the other end of this equation. I was widowed in January, and one of my sons wanted me to get Life Alert. I’m in good health, not a fall risk etc. Life 360 was the compromise. It was out of hand for a couple of months, they called when I left the house etc., but now it’s fine. I doubt they track me on a regular basis anymore, but I think they feel better that they can.

I get zero phone calls asking, where are you.

yeah, frick all that

I have it.
Before I retired, I was all over the place from state to state and had a predilection for going off by myself in the woods, mountains and deserts.
Had I gotten hurt, come up missing, etc., the family and others could know where to look for the body.
I am not a young kid.
If being tracked by others and you don't want your family to know which bawdy hour you're in, you can always turn off location on your phone

I guess you're ok with the government knowing where you are, as well as Apple, but you draw the line on your wife knowing.
Bro, do you unironically think some fed is sitting in a dark smoky room watching you roll down the street to the grocery store? lmao.
Sure you are being "tracked" in the sense that the data is collected but no fedboi is actively following you dude.
Unless you are up to some frickery. If that is the case, good luck.

I really don’t care. It’s my mom, wife, kids. They can track me going to work and back home. If I need to go dark I have the option on the app and they don’t have to know

Imagine being cucked enough to allow this, it's so she can tell the pool boy when he needs to leave.

There isn't a single issue the OT doesn't both sides. lmao.
It's hilarious reading this thread.
