This. Luckily most vehicles these days can be optioned with a decent sound system, but so what if you want a little more bump

I have a 23 Tundra and I love it but was baffled by how bad the audio was. Literally my only complaint about the truck. So I put all new door speakers and tweeters in it and added two 6.5 subs in a box behind the back seat. The sound quality is just crazy good now, and yes, if I want some bump I can add it. I guess people fail to realize that they help with the actual sound of the music your listening too, you don't even have to add the low base.

What is it adapting from?

Seriously, I am trying to figure out what power source you are working with.

A JBL basspro may be what you need

Also there are some pretty good experts on the Tech Board

I wish I knew what happened to my Kicker bucket hat. Still have my E-wires and T-wires at least.

So jealous at the time. I had an 87 K5 Blazer. I was jealous of those with the newer body style and mad my parents were "poor". I sold the damn thing in 2003 and have beaten myself over it for 20 years now.

You'll never pull enough amps through that to sufficently run a subwoofer.

Also, Tech Board.

Just get one of these. Install it correctly to your current stereo. When you need the room simply unplug the couple wires from the amplified box and remove it. I put one of these in my daughter’s Trailblazer when she was in highschool. Not near as good as the complete system I did for my son but I was suprised by the amount of bass it provided. They have a 10” version also which is actually the one I put in my daughters car.
