Sorry for your loss. Time doesnt heal, but time can help.

Geez...your logic...well, it's not logic. This isn't about someone's poor experience with his or her father.
I didn’t downvote, the opposite actually. Perhaps you missed the part where I said I empathize with the OP? I think it is reasonable for some to not have the same feelings and when they are told to hug their father they may not feel the same way as the OP. The OP has received about 20 “sorry for your loss” responses, which is also discouraged as something to say to someone grieving by psychologists. Not everyone has your perspective on death of parents or the response to it. That’s all.

Do not ask for whom the bell tolls
It tolls for thee
Remember the good times, and pay it forward

II feel your pain. Just got back from my moms funeral in Arkansas on Sunday. It's a weird feeling knowing you're now an elder in the family.
We have to get rid of theproperty that's been in the family for over 100 years, and that's tough.
Listing a parent is definitely super stressful, and a life changing moment. God bless you and your family.

Just lost my dad in May Iron, it's tough and there seems to be so much death and loss this year. Glad you got a chance to spend time with him before he passed. All the old timers like our dad's are in heaven talking about how great last year was.

Prayers to you and your family. I lost my dad a little over 2 years ago. Time passes but it still hurts every time something reminds me of him.
Hug your family and tell them how much you love them. It’s the most important thing and our time is limited.

And may eternal light shine on him and may every memory of him be a blessing.

I'm sorry to hear that. I lost my dad in 2017 and it still feels like yesterday. So many things I wish I could tell him.
