You should try. I got into LSU with similar grades. It’s not that competitive.
No dude a 2.6 at LSU is not competitive at all. There’s a site that plots GPA/LSAT for each school and will tell you if you’d make it or not

I prefer my almonds without chocolate BUT if I had to eat them they would be covered in milk chocolate.

not to insult our attorneys on here but I think law school is the easiest of all post grad schools, I was a freshman when I met my college gf that was graduating and going to law school, I studied with her and her friends for the next three years and I'm pretty sure I could have passed the bar with them
I am a god on a sim rig but I don't think I could fly a F18 unless they have one with training wheels.

If you're that much of a masochist triathlon is cheaper and they have beer after the races.

I got in with a 2.8 and a 149 lsat. I would not do it again and you shouldn’t.

Southern? Where did you go for undergrad?
Posted on 11/10/23 at 10:41 pm to jflsufan
They do not care about your gpa after this many years. An average breathing human lsat will help Southern’s average so they’ll take you.

LSU for bachelors Southeastern for MBA. Southern Law School evening program.

Why wouldn’t you do it again?

It can consume a lot of time even for Southerns program. I was also a non-traditional and it takes a lot of time after law school too with studying for bar, then, you have to act like you know what you are doing. It’s a full commitment to be a lawyer. It’s not just something you do for the challenge IMO. Be confident that you could do it but also be confident that you shouldn’t do it.

Probably not the answer you are looking for…sorry. Do you have CPA? Is it tax law or corporate/ business law you are interested in? Why does your boss what you to go?

Get your company to commit to all three years in writing with a step up in salary once you pass the bar.
If they won’t do that then you’re doing it for them and not you.

The only way I would go back to school at 55 is I'm loaded, looking to party, and win a golf bet over some a-hole.

Read the “Who's this Guillory fellow in Lafayette?” thread. I went to law school with him and look at the crap he’s gotten into.

Also consider you will need to pass the bar. Southern will not prepare you well to pass.
