You should be a little more grateful for what others have done for you. You sound like a spoiled, entitled, ungrateful a-hole.
Being in standby for combat is absolutely a noble thing to do. So in your opinion is a fireman’s service worthless until he actually has to go into a burning building and lives to tell about it? Is a police officer’s service worthless until he captures a wanted criminal and brings him to jail without getting killed himself?
