We would all have to go back to reading shampoo bottle ingredients while taking a shite.

Here we go again with the OT fascination with shite.

How long does it take you to take a dump?

How long depends on if I’m at work or not.

I usually retire to my work shop. It has just about everything I need in there

I'm finally moving to a bigger, nicer house and will actually have a workshop/study/man cave...which are all essentially the same thing.

My Uncle Bill would definitely have a cigar in peace and quiet and my aunt fully supported that. They were such good people!

You don’t retire to the study for a stogie, glass of brandy, and a period of peaceful contemplation each evening?

Replace study with garage, stogie with Winston 100, glass of brandy with 14 high lifes, and period of peaceful contemplation with Van Halen and you’ve got something

Got a big shop across town if I want to work on anything serious. Got a great sound-treated room upstairs with an adjacent bar and library, a nice TV, big-time stereo, two doors worth of separation, and only one chair -- my mangy leather Lazy Boy I've spent 43 years breaking-in. It's the fortress of GD solitude, and I get all the Van Halen I want...

Bonus: No kids, and a great wife.

Fricking-A. I'm in Boomer Heaven, and one lucky dude.

Research into the "hydrodynamics of defecation" have shown that "most mammals, regardless of size, take an average of just 12 seconds to defecate".

Sounds about right. Of course I take Metamucil, and don't eat much cheese or popcorn...

“The hell you are, I hav book club this evening!”

“Isn’t book club at 10am when the kids are in school?”

“No, that’s Junior League then brunch at the country club with the wives”

And I remember being given a few of those things they would whittle. Just a simple thing or two.

Some nights I retire to my gun room and change optics out on pistols and end up searching 45 minutes for the right length screws. Always a good time.

I don't say "I think I shall retire to the study", but I often go to our living room, which no one uses for anything besides me, and sit on the fancy couch with my feet up and read and have a scotch alone.

Obviously after the kiddos go to bed, but they go to bed much before I do.
