The cars I posted haven't even been 'released' yet. I drive a BMW and I'm 100% for German rides. I didn't offer the wife one because I didn't want to be one of 'those' families.

not to mention a fully loaded Avalon is equivalent to a lower end ES350 price wise. But the lower end Es350 comes with most of the features standard. Lexus service is awesome. Always get a free loaner, etc.
I sat in both. The Avalon was definitely nice. The Lexus had a few features that made it feel Luxury in comparison. The Lexus steering wheel is awesome.

You can get a 16' Avalon for $20K. Tough to beat and will last you a very long time.

Aren’t the lower end Mercedes C Class in the $35k range?

I’ve always driven a truck, but need better gas mileage.
I'm not sure how bad the trucks gas mileage was, but my midsize is terrible. I'm lucky to get 23 mpg highway (but I've got 330 ponies under the hood so I'm cool with it

My "not-so-subtle-brag count" on that single line is at 4. Well done.

I traded in a pokey S80 and now feel like I'm in a formula 1 car with 290hp

I had the opposite problem. I went from an ecoboost f150 to a v8 expedition. It feels like driving a tank. I’m giving my wife the tank and am looking forward to a little Getty up again

2 bimmers in the driveway is much different, at least to me, than a mixed Euro stable.
ETA: I was being accused of only talking about Volvos in luxury sedan threads. My response wasn't just a random post.

Not sure if this will be of any help but it's interesting info to look at

Also, be aware that Lincoln is moving away from lettered naming of their vehicles. Currently they have the Continental (full sized sedan, replaced MKS) and Navigator (full sized SUV). For 2019 Nautilus (mid sized CUV) will replace the MKX name. LINK

Recognizing automakers for earning customer loyalty
The Automotive Loyalty Awards by IHS Markit are the only fact-based awards in the industry focused on owner loyalty. Awards are based on actual consumer transactions and information obtained from state registration and lease transaction information.
The Automotive Loyalty Awards by IHS Markit are presented annually to OEMs and brands that demonstrate a manufacturer's ability to retain owners over repeat buying cycles. Loyalty is determined when a household that owns a new vehicle returns to market and purchases or leases another new vehicle of the same make, model or manufacturer.
For the 2017 model year, 34 winners were honored for automotive loyalty and conquest efforts at the Automotive News World Congress held in conjunction with the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit. IHS Markit analyzes loyalty throughout the year and regularly works with its customers to effectively manage owner loyalty and conquest efforts through in-depth research and analysis of automotive shopping behaviors, related market influencers and conquest and retention strategies. This year's awards are based on an analysis of more than 17.5 million new vehicle registrations during the 2017 model year, which ran from Oct. 1, 2016 through Sept. 30, 2017.

Buick LaCrosse is a great vehicle. It's definitely bigger than mid sized.

We bought a used Lexus RX330 after owning several Camrys. It had 69000mi on it but was pristine. Still driving it, not as pristine now but still humming along. I'm tall and getting in and out of Camrys was a pain. And the room in the back handles 4 golf bags easily Probably by another and will last us until we are worm dirt.
