It's on of my pet peeves. When there is nobody around, fine. But in a busy parking lot, you are making other people wait while you carefully back into spot. Rude as sh*t. I find that it is more generational, rather than race.

I'm confused
When parking just drive through to the parking space in front then you can drive right out of the spot. No backing up needed.

My vehicles have “cross traffic “ sensors when traffic or pedestrians are approaching from the side.

I’ve called it tactical parking. But I don’t know if it ever got into the American lexicon.
I think you are pissed because people pull through the spot sometimes, and if it’s a small car, you don’t see it. And now you have to find a different spot.
I’m not sure I agree that is more exclusive to black women.

I prefer to back in whether driving my truck or our small arse A3 convertible. ESPECIALLY in a busy parking lot, where I may have to worry about some kid darting out in front of my spot as I’m trying to leave.
I don’t want to be responsible for hitting a kid, or adult. Sorry, baw. Just wait the extra 3 1/2 seconds.

This is completely asinine. Studies have shown it's quicker to back in than back out. So you are slightly waiting at some point. You wait less with backing in
