Going to bring back the dirt bike track they laid down before the super bowl last year.

Just finished all those curbs that were improved for some reasons.

Probably the most sound bridge in the state after its remodel...

According to the other thread on the front page it isn't.

How terrible this is true.

The fact the Huey P is on there and not the Lake Charles bridge proves it's a BS article...

Very true.

I didn't read the article to see the criteria. Since they referenced a bridge that fell (Key Bridge) after being hit (and the 4 bridges in the lower Miss) I would imagine the risk of collapse is due to their protections from being hit and not from structural integrity.

Went and read the article. It's criteria is not based on structural inegrity

That's exactly what it's about...

Another fear mongering article about something that "may happen"...

fricker doesn’t get nearly enough blame for the state of things in the city.

Teedy’s the easier scapegoat, but he sent the place on the path such that it didn’t even really matter what she did or didn’t do in so many areas, the place was going to be screwed regardless.

Flooded in 1989 in a basement apartment (I know, its all I could afford) on Broadway b/c a pumping station failed. Nothing changes.

The really big ships can't go beyond the Huey Long. Sunshine, Gramercy and Baton Rouge are pretty safe from being hit by anything big. The River Freighters could not do enough damage to take them down.

Let me guess.

Back up generators were not operable because the engineers put them in a deep hole to hide them from the water.
