I am appreciative.. just giving an alternate viewpoint on giving flowers vs a nice steak and a bottle of wine.

You sound like a stand up guy, though!

No, I didn't. Well, at least not until after. Or did you never get around to reading the thread title?

I made a joke about the thread title and the assumption that because I was getting my wife flowers, that it was the only thing I was giving her. You then went retarded. It happens

This is also a gift with labor attached to it.

Just FYI.

Jesus dude, that amount of flowers isn't even $70 on Bouqs.

But I ignored flowers and went with $90 worth of Leonidas chocolate for 1 adult and two teen girls.

My wife helped our son put together a huge Lego T-Rex over the winter weather week and had so much fun she wants another Lego project to do. I think this might have been her first time doing Legos. So I get it. It is fun. So I took a risk and spent $60 on some Lego tulips (her favorite flower) and plan to give them to her for Valentine's day. We'll see how this goes. Probably should get some perfume too just in case.

I always go to the locally owned shop. My mom owned a flower shop for 25 years after my grandmother started it. After she retired I found out just how much roses cost.

Used to buy the over $100 bouquet from the florist. Now, I simply buy the $50 bouquet from the grocery store and my wife puts it in her own vase. She gets her roses and she hasn't complained yet.
