I feel every single female over the age of 30 I work with is on a shot. All of them for weight loss and several have lost significant weight on it. Some have been on the shot a few years, others a few months but they all praise it.
If it works, good for them
If it works, good for them

However, I am seeing folks go for a quick and easy fix, especially when it comes to weight loss. But they are ruining their long-term health

ADHD, ADD, autism, little girls having periods at 11 years old, and even the massive explosion of transgerderism was almost non-existent when I was a kid. Now, all those things are common place. Wonder why that is? My theory is, it's our food.

Same here but I've lost around 85 lbs. I've gone from a 44 waist to 32.

I will leave at this. There have been some heavy drugs that were pulled due of deadly side effects.
Vioxx being one of the most notable ones.
Lots of folks don't remember this one though: Good ole fen-phen.
A weight loss drug (sound familiar?) that was eventually banned because of harsh side effects.
LINK
It's a person's health that they are risking. Make your choice.
When a drug maker actually post potential' harmful side effects on their website, that ought to be red flags and sirens blaring.
Supposedly there is a compound, aka berberine that has GLP-1 like effects.
Does it work? IDK Some say yes, some say maybe, some say no. I can't really say.
Proceed with caution.

No one needs that shite they just want a miracle drug they can take and still sit on their arse and be lazy. Get up, hit the gym and watch what you eat. It isn’t rocket science. If you don’t have the discipline to stop stuffing your face with fast food then that shot isn’t going to do shite.

Here’s my take on the situation and people that are so vocally anti like in this thread. Outside of this discussion, I assume we can all agree that not everyone is the same and that there are differences between people. People have different levels of everything. Some are naturally caused, some are exacerbated by lifestyle. But in general, we’re all different.
I’ve battled my weight my whole life. I love to eat, food is delicious especially in Louisiana. I’m pretty active in general, always have been. I could absolutely just eat less and move around more and battle my way through it and lose weight. Would it last? Maybe. It hasn’t in the past. So why not try something that might bring my levels in balance to a more “normal” state? Wouldn’t it be easier stuck with something that isn’t a battle every day? Who wants a grind every day in everything?
And of course you could just say don’t eat as much, you fat frick. Hey, totally agree. But I would submit that if you haven’t had to battle with weight then you don’t know what it’s like. Just like I could say someone that is addicted to nicotine or drugs, just stop doing it. But clearly they can’t. So I’m willing to give them the benefit of the doubt and say maybe I don’t understand their situation but just want to be happy they’re dealing with it however they can.
So what’s better? “Just don’t eat more” and nothing changes or cheat and actually change for the positive.
Y’all can come at me all y’all want, I feel great, eat better and less, exercise daily, and am in an infinitely better spot now than I was before I started.

This is exactly what I’m talking about
Dude is comparing fen-phen to glp1 when glp1 is naturally occurring in the body and fp is a stimulant. Glp1 has been studied for 40 years and has been on the market for 2 decades
Now do I think most use way too high a dose of these medicines…sure but yall literally have no clue how any of this shite works
And outside of mingo it’s manly fat fricks of the OT telling people not to take this. I can respect Mingo’s take at least. Most of yall are 50+ pounds over weight and say every year just need to lose 20lbs to be shredded.
And I don’t even take this medicine, I just understand how it works

To folks wanting to lose weight: Go Keto or carnivore.
Get rid of the junk and garbage in your diet.
One doctor said it this way. Quit eating C.R.A.P.
C. Carbs and sugars along with HFC
R. Rancid seed oils.
A. Artificial ingredients
P. Processed proteins and ultra-processed foods
Start with intermittent fasting. Works great. Its not as hard as you think.
started Intermittent fasting and ordering pre-meals from Pronto. Two meals a day (10 a week at $13/ meal.) in just under three months down 25 pounds and haven't started exercising yet. Also I drink heavy on the weekends and eat more freely, but not a total fat f#ck. May go no alcohol and start working out a little after Mardi Gras if not sooner. At least for a few months.

There literally isn’t anything wrong with taking the medicine low dose as a kick start. It actually healthy that away and has lots of health benefits and sides would be 1 in a million
But the dosing schedule from the manufacturer is way way too aggressive and used to keep people losing weight without making lifestyle changes. That is the issue
And retatutide is going to make all the other glp1 obsolete but I’m sure people are going to abuse it and with its known ability to raise RHR, I’m sure it’s going to cause problems too.
The medicine should be used at minimum effective dosing and should be used as part of overall lifestyle change in diet, lifting, cardio…essentially it should be used to slightly curb appetite and control blood sugar. And frankly docs should not prescribe if you aren’t willing to make those changes or you show too much muscle loss or too fast weight loss.
TLDR: don’t associate abuse with proper use

I wonder why some doctors looked at the drugs compounds and decided they wouldn’t provide for fear of addiction.
Interesting. Are we saying that the doctors really didn’t know or more likely that they didn’t give a fuuuuccckkkk. $$$
Remember all the sluts in high school that were talking about being a pharma sale rep!! Yay

They were warned and then took it and tried to rub it in everyone’s face.

Cheat who?
And your comments about carbs show how clueless you are.
Carbs are not your enemy and do not make you gain body fat. About 100 studies prove this.
And yea carbs help build muscle more efficiently, don’t have to have them but it certainly helps
