Back in the day, I had a Troy University tag that had my initials and year I graduated on it. Standard tags in Alabama have 7 spaces, but some of the specialty/college plates only allow for 6 due to logos on the plates. So I had to shorten it from 2004 to just 04.

The dad of a buddy of mine in middle school had a Viper with AWHSOME plates (AWESOME was already taken).
The kid was incredulous when I told him it was really cool but it was spelled wrong. He thought that was how you spelled awesome.
