Are you the least bit familiar with how this betting feature works?

Early peek at Rex, the so-called “King of Carnival” bowing to Comus, the Secret Emperor of Carnival:

Little known fact: While the City of New Orleans formally abolished the practice of Prima Nocta in 1973, tradition demands that Comus still exercises his right of first night on Rex’s bride, hence the mask to protect his anonymity.

Great handle, especially for this night, lol. Settle in everyone, we have about an hour of nonsense, before the actual nonsense.

So does even the float riders in Rex have to attended this after riding today? I’m not familiar with how Rex does it. We do things a little different in Houma.

Houmas’s Tableau and ball is the night before. The tableau is like Rex-Comus Ball with a court of a King, Queen, Maids, and pages. After the Tableau is over they party for a while after with food and adult beverages.

They then have and early wake up call for a float breakfast and ride around in a party bus till it is time to head to the float. Then it’s the parade.

There is one last party after the parade called the Houmas Extravaganza. They ride the floats though the Houma Civic Center like Endymion ends the ride at the Superdome.

I went the first year of the Extravaganza, and it looked cool. But, I am not cut out for that type of partying.

French’s daughter is queen. If he isn’t on the set it could get ugly

WYES has only been doing this since the mid 90's? Thought they had been doing it much longer for some reason.

An old white woman named Suzanne going by "Suz-Ahn" should also be on the bingo square

I went to a Mardi grass ball once and I was bored to tears. I guess it would be preferable to watch it from the comfort of home.

Peggy’s birthday was over the weekend. Maybe he felt that was special enough to clean up for.

Seeing the TD users and usernames come up in the comments are part of the fun.

Take a shot.
