The key to marriage is finding a debt-free virgin with no tattoos

That was my argument from the beginning and why I specifically referred to an Alpha and “ different resources “. That got lost here in the responses. And many men tend to marry down.

Kilroy is making the classic lunchbox arguments when it comes to marriage: just find a good girl who is smart and has a good job.
Roger that. Those girls can also be the craziest at the drop of a hat. All it takes is her getting bored or falling out of love for the marriage to start crumbling.

Marry a girl who is actually intelligent and makes good money. Problem solved.
It really is as simple as this, but I’ll add “don’t need a mans attention 24/7. It’s all good in the honeymoon phase, but when that shite wears off, needy women will go where they are needed.
I should teach a class.

some version of "being bored" (typically on the female end) is probably the 2nd. "being bored" is a wide grouping but a better description is probably "marriage didn't meet my expectations as a young girl". with the insane narcissism these days? oy vey

the thing is that men increasing earning being married, on average, doesn't mean that we're talking about very successful men

I ran into Dan one time a few years ago at a famous and scenic place in Hawaii, like 2 weeks after hearing who he was. He had a crew of like 2 or 3 geeky dudes following him with cameras and they were trying to climb over rocks to find a good spot to pose, it was so weird and pathetic. Must not have found a good spot or something because they ended up leaving immediately and never posting a picture (but later saw other pictures from Hawaii at same time so I know it was him). No chicks with him at the time either, unfortunately.
He is like almost everyone else on social media. He is living a lie ,but he has trustfund money to get these women to pose with him and go to places all over and promotes himself over the internet. Sadly many think that he lives this lifestyle and is some sort of alpha which is not the case at all.

Roger that.
yeah the problem is that, the BARE MINIMUM requirements (for the guys this thread is about) are "smart, has a good job, and has internal drive"
right there, you're cutting off something like 75-90% of American women
then within that small grouping, you have to deal with (1) better male options (2) geographical limitations and population issues (3) personality matching (4) life goals matching, etc

and yes, this. major life events change people (internally and external things like expectations). marriage is basically the beacon for major life changes. kids change things a great deal (looks, sex, time, etc are drastically different). work changes things a great deal. then there are biological issues (menopause, lowering testosterone, etc) of age.
and all it takes is one variable and voila, it's over...oh and

What makes a trust fund kidult living a pretend life an authority on marriage/relationships?

Call it what it is like I posted above, needy. Women are inherently more needy than men. With the amount of attention social media can give those endorphins from attention seeking women are in overdrive.
There’s another hint for you poor bastards. Look at a women’s social media. If you know every opinion and activity a woman has done in the last month from her social media, red flag that one immediately.
I should teach a class

He’s in direct contact with the neediest bitches on earth. He’s an attention seeker as well. So he’s like frick I know how much attention I need, multiply that shite by 50, and that’s my average slam piece.
Guy has more field work than some municipalities

Don’t know if most people didn’t watch the video but they were specifically referring to wealthy men getting married and how it is almost always a bad idea. Not as much about men in general.

I do think this is an interesting point.
I am very happy with my marriage and defend marriage as an institution often on here. However, I certainly married up. I’m a short guy who was born in and spent his childhood in fricking Waggaman and somehow married a tall girl from Mountain Brook, AL. Probably a lot easier for me to feel satisfied with my marriage than someone who marries down.

for normal or above average guys? yes
for the people they're talking about? unlikely. any difference is also very marginal considering the guy was likely loaded pre-marriage
