Strange that you say that. Tuscon isn't far from the border. But so far, nothing makes sense. I did give my opinion in another post. Right now, I'm thinking home invasion. But by who is the question.

If it WAS a home invasion gone wrong, absolutely try to discard the body. Don't give the police, investigators, State, a cause of death, weapon, DNA transfer, etc etc

The house looks nice. This is probably a robbery, most likely by someone who has done some sort of work or maintenance around the house. They could have taken the body to hide evidence of the murder. There have been several cases around Baton Rouge where elderly wealthy people were murdered by people doing work for them.

The second I read that U.S. Customs & Border Patrol and Immigrations & Customs Enforcement were involved in this case is when it was officially confirmed that she was taken by illegals. I suspect they initially kidnapped her to take from ATM to ATM. Home invasions involving the elderly has been a growing issue in Arizona the last few years.

If it really was an illegal immigrant/alien that did this, things will get quite interesting. Everyone will be forced to acknowledge the problem and those who don't would probably be ridiculed publicly.

And the sad part is, if it does come out that it was an illegal who did this, the media and disgusting hollywood celebrities would still make an excuse for it.

Given the location it's obviously possible.
But the presser comments tend toward using CBP resources for searches because they do tons of searches in the region and have the best capability for covering wide swaths of area there.

Read her implant stopped syncing with her watch around 2am. Watch and phone still at the house.
Also having an impromptu/surprise press conference at 11:30am their local time after earlier stating they did not have any planned media appearances today.

If her mom dies at the hands of an illegal immigrant then you would think Savannah would change teams and no longer cover for them with that cutesy little morning show host smile. We’ll see who she really cares about now..

Her cellphone, wallet, vehicle, and other belongings were left behind; her pacemaker reportedly last synced with devices around 2:00 a.m. on Sunday (February 1) via her cell/iwatch sync. Her Apple Watch was still on its charger inside the home.
Canine and cadaver dogs didn't find any trace of her around her house. Sources describe a light trail outside—more consistent with a drip, like a bloody nose—instead of substantial blood. The blood trail reportedly ended where the walkway meets the driveway.
A source tells Fox News Digital that the cancellation of a search-and-rescue operation does not mean authorities believe she is dead. Lights were on in common areas of the home, and there were reportedly signs of forced entry despite the front door being unlocked. Police said they collected DNA samples, but they came back to be Nancy’s. Police say she did have security cameras, but they’re having difficulty obtaining the footage.
