I'm in Knoxville and while, thankfully, we only had a radar rotation and not an actual touchdown, it got scary here for about half an hour.

It quickly got dark, eerily quiet, and the birds stopped chirping. Also, my cat started acting weird. Animals have a sixth sense so that was when I got nervous.

More severe weather on its way so it could be a long night.

Been keeping an eye on that one since it was west of Oxford. It hasn't been able to do much.

I don’t think we are talking about the same cell. I was talking about one west of Dumas, Ar

That was my Pops every time we drove through Dumas, MS. There used to be an old guy there who made some damn fine oak porch furniture. My mom still has the set we bought her for Mother's Day one year.

That debris signature on the tornado NE of Jackson, TN looks nasty...

Looks like the Arkansas version of Dumas got lucky, that rotation is falling apart

FYI: Today is the 12th anniversary of the 2013 Moore, Oklahoma EF5. It was our last EF5 tornado.

But TT9 told us this weekend that the tornadoes are getting more severe these days at an alarming rate.

To be fair, we've assuredly had an EF5 since then, but those tornadoes just haven't hit well-built structures to produce damage that can be surveyed and rated as an EF5.

I still maintain the Mayfield, KY tornado was an EF5.

That's because it is, in your neck of the woods.

Not a huge "tornado outbreak" level of instability, but enough to spin a few up. Keep your head on a swivel great catfish merchant
