I could have guessed this purely by the confidence with which you acquired the injury.

My come to jesus moment was stepping off the upper edge of the bed of an f150. To the ground. In 99 cent flip flops.

I thought my molars were going to come out of my arse.

10ft baw... I haven't been 10ft confident since a dozen beers deep at 21. You're either brave or just silly

Sounds like you quacked your heel.

As someone who fixes these on the reg, your foot will never be the same. If there's no significant displacement you shouldn't need surgery. However, the post-traumatic arthritis in your subtalar joint is going to cause you pain for the rest of your life. Often times a fusion is necessary down the road. Good luck. It's a terrible injury.

The tide can go out 10 feet in Erath?? Bayou Tigre is barely 8ft deep baw before you get to Delcambre Canal. Smells like some BS to cher

Buddy, that was my first time ever in Erath, I have no clue how far it can go out. All I know is it was far enough for me to frick my foot up.

Yeah, I suspect the hey dudes I was wearing are probably a good reason why my foot didn’t survive it.

Cool cool cool. Sounds like I’m going to have to wear special insoles down the road.

How long until I can golf again?

I've done stupid stiff. I cut off the tip of my ring finger on a trolling motor mount. Had a good finger for nearly 70 years.

Nothing makes me feel my age more than jumps . Hopefully you heal up quickly and completely.

Back in the summer I climbed a big magnolia tree to get a frisbee for the neighbor kid. I jumped down from the bottom limb (about 5') and felt it for a month.

I think he was talking about falling off the ladder. Calcaneous fractures are common when falling from heights

Recovery can be 12-18 months. It’s a long haul.

Probably before you can start footballing or basketballing.

Obviously she was not well-heeled.

Pics of her and of you (for research purposes only, TIA).
