I watched a video of Jon Bernthal interviewing Labeouf 2 years ago, and it was really good. Very poignant, honest, and raw. Labeouf seems like a good dude trying to be better, and he doesn't at all seem like a typical hollywood elitist douche

Shia LaBeouf was arrested after punching two people, one of the victims repeatedly, at a Royal Street bar in the early morning hours of Mardi Gras Day, leading to patrons holding down the actor until authorities arrived, according to the New Orleans Police Department.
LaBeouf, 39, was arrested on two counts of simple battery after receiving treatment for injuries sustained in the brawl at an area hospital.
NOPD officers were called to R Bar, at 1431 Royal Street, around 12:45 a.m. after receiving a report of two male victims being assaulted.
Police say LaBeouf, who had been celebrating Mardi Gras in New Orleans over the weekend, was “reportedly causing a disturbance and becoming increasingly aggressive.” The “Transformers” and “Holes” star allegedly then punched an R Bar staff member trying to eject him from the bar due to his behavior.
LaBeouf left after the first incident, police said, but came back to the bar “acting even more aggressive.”
NOPD said multiple bar patrons attempted to hold LaBeouf down, but let him go in hopes he’d leave and not return.
He came back again, striking the same staff member again multiple times, according to a release from police, and punched another man in the nose.
The star was reportedly held down again until NOPD arrived.

I've always really liked Shia as an actor as I was born in the late 90's and watched all of his stuff growing up. Dude's a great actor and seems like a pretty chill guy when he's not getting blackout drunk in public.

We ended up tables next to him at Pat O'Brien's Friday around 5:30. We talked with him, took pictures, and hung out next to him for like 3 hours. But he was definitely not sober, and he wanted people to notice him. I am not surprised by this. You could tell he was off on Friday.

My son is a bartender in Oklahoma City. Shia was there for several months shooting a movie. He came to my son's bar a number of times but never drank. He just liked hanging out there.
