I have no problem with men wearing sports jerseys, no.
Funny story though: I used to have a US Naval Academy hat that I picked up when I was there working on a project many years ago. I was wearing it one time when a guy commented about me being in the Navy; I explained that no I wasn't and how I came by the hat. He got all torqued saying I shouldn't be wearing it if I wasn't in the Navy. I pointed to the jersey he was wearing and asked what position he plays on the Denver Broncos.

Grown arse men dont care what you think about them.

It baffles me as to why anyone gives a damn about this. I haven't worn a jersey out in public or to a game in a long time, not for any reason I just haven't. I do have a number of jerseys that I have had forever and sometimes I will wear one around the house on gameday, mostly because they are comfortable, but at the end of the day who the frick cares?
I personally don't own a jersey and think grown men wearing them to a game, or worse, outside of a game looks ridiculous. Especially if it is the jersey of an actual player and not just some personalized jersey. However, that's just my opinion. If it make you happy to wear a jersey, feel free.
I'm guessing where the "trashy" aspect of the discussion arises if from that fact every week we "fan fight" videos and probably 75% - 80% of the time at least one of the combatants (often more) is wearing a jersey. Now, 95% of the other people wearing a jersey at the game aren't causing any trouble. But when there seems to be a common trait among the troublemakers people tend to associate one thing with the other.

Specifically with another man's name on your back?
One year Mama gave us all jerseys for Christmas. Everybody's number was their age that year (I was 44) and everybody got their own last name on their back. When I wore it I felt kinda retarded, so I quit wearing it.
But I DGAF if other grown men wear a jersey.

Why not? I have a couple of jerseys. I basically only wear them when going to a sports game, or if I'm going to a bar to cheer on my team.
The real question is what do you have against jerseys. Do you think if you wear a Patrick Mahomes or Steph Curry jersey, that you're going to want to suck their dick. Are you feeling a bit homosexual and you're trying very hard to suppress the urges?

It is mostly southern guys who have issues with jerseys. They are very commonplace up north
This is definitely true
I don’t think I’ve worn a jersey since middle school but it always cracks me up that the guys who shite on them dress for games like their mother picked their outfits for the first day of school
Not that there’s anything wrong with that either

Tell your friend to mind his own damn business and let people where wtf they want.

Would you rather them wear women's clothing instead?

Perry cox in a redwings jersey is cool, but not for the team-sports aspect. It's because Cox as such a hardass jerk, and then when the wings come on Dr. Hardass reverts to a childlike fanboy. Kinda funny.
As for most grown men walking around in jerseys? Meh...

What if they wear a sports jersey and shorts to the airport? is this acceptable?

Are you gay? Why do worry about what other men wear?

I draw the line at giving a frick what someone wears to watcha football game.
This is hilarious. Welcome to the OT, where for some reason you can loudly judge and denounce anything but a man's shirt. Teams, tattoos, animals, trucks, boats, whatever.
Also you can give very dubious legal advice here and be a hero.
But for some reason you give fashion advice here and it's downvote city. okayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy...
Baws this is the SEC. You want to dress like a bum? Head to big 10 country. They look like a Kohls advertisement every day.

So I can’t wear a jersey and I can’t wear a $130 polo. The clowns that complain about jerseys and Peter Millar polos shop the discount rack at Wal-Mart.

Sports jerseys.
Is there another kind?
Asking for a friend.

Should grown men be bothered by what other grown men choose to wear?
