They go to churches. A new Chick Fil A was opening down the street from a church I went to just after graduating college and they were at our church interviewing the high school kids.

It’s their work environment. Ask yourself as a parent with a daughter where you want them to get their first job. Here in BR I would say there are only two options. CFA or Caine’s. And then it depends on the stores location.
Look at the CFA on airline at highland. Then look an McDs, Wendy’s, Taco Bell in the same area.
I would say because of their environment you get people that wouldn’t otherwise work in the fast food industry.

Its not just hiring selectively; they put the hires in a position to succeed and learn from the model. There becomes internal pressure to perform up to a standard, until the pedestrian employee conforms to the CFA standard, then they become part of that same culture for the next round of hires.

To properly man a fast food restaurant the first thing you do is drug test early and often. All non- managerial position will be students that are maintaining the honor roll at their respective HS or College. Being active in school organizations, sports, or church would move their resume to the top of stack.

In comparison, Popeyes employees are like they’re on work release from a leper colony.
Al Copeland is probably rolling over in his grave. When I worked at Copeland’s on Vets, he would be there on Friday and Saturday nights inspecting every dish before it was delivered to the table, even though he could have been out partying away his millions. There was a time when Popeyes was much better, but Al ain’t dere no more.

The average CFA has over 100 employees. Mainly part timers. They have more turnover than you’d think. Used to date one of the marketing women at corporate.

I would image prerequisites include:
- Not have the same IQ as a potatoe.
- Being able to form complete sentences and speaking properly.
- Having the ability to do simple math.
- Not having an attitude problem and willing to perform simple tasks when told to do so.
Pretty much the opposite of most fast food chains.

Im friends with a manager here in BR. He goes straight to social media sites and checks every applicant before moving to phase 2. He said he shreds 95% of the apps based on photos and posts from potential applicants.

Being closed on Sunday attracts applicants from a pool of young people who/whose parents value being guaranteed off on Sunday so their job doesn’t conflict with church attendance.

And to think the progs try and belittle and insult them.
I have never seen a chick fil a employee treat anyone less than admirably regardless of their sex, color, creed or orientation.

You realize that’s a valid spelling, right?

Wife and I were in a Chick fil a recently and I could see the manager in the next booth with a coat and tie guy.
When he got up to leave I asked if he was local and he said no, he lived in Atlanta. I told him we had been in chick fil a all over the south east and how impressed we were with the employees. He said they had an interview/selection process that made all the difference. I said don't change a thing.
I also said they needed to go public so I could buy some stock.
