Hard to say. On one hand you’d want to sin more and life to fullest but a lot of those experiences may shorten your life span. If there’s no afterlife you wouldn’t want to shorten your life span

Literally a dude saying Hitler could get into heaven as long as he asked for forgiveness before he died. It’s unreal lol
I'm just going by the Bible.
God always stands ready to forgive.
However, people like Hitler that have went down such a dark path, are, in my opinion, being influenced by Satan and would never repent.

You won’t know if you discover it. Because you will be dead.
Posted on 9/12/25 at 7:26 pm to prplhze2000
It wouldn't change anything, because I already don't believe in an afterlife.
Posted on 9/12/25 at 7:34 pm to prplhze2000
And how would you discover that?
Posted on 9/12/25 at 7:37 pm to prplhze2000
It doesnt change, what I am doing now.

Already was dead for a few or close enough to it for a while to ensure u there is not only an afterlife but your soul is immortal and has always been so. This life on earth is nothing in the scheme of things but a prized testing ground to work on the things u lack that are keeping u from the one or God

Suppose you discovered there is no afterlife
It would invalidate a covenant made to the lost sheep of Israel.

Hey, I’m going to let you in on a little secret…
You didn’t “discover” anything. You started adhering to a new religion.

You’re already seeing it.The total disrespect for life , other opinions but your own,is the handwriting on the wall.People who promote death to Gods children obviously don’t believe anything happens after death, especially Hell.If they did and still committed these evil deeds they have no soul.

agree but what about this hypothetical. Let's say Hitler really did escape to Argentina, found Jesus, repented, and spent his last years helping the needy and being obedient to God. Would he be redeemed in God's eyes?
I mean, that's better than him continuing his evil heart. Whether he is redeemed or whatever is not up to me and not something I have to worry with. He is or isn’t. What I can do is try to be better. That's what matters. When we all do our part, the whole is better. What happens after death is for death.

It’s astounding to me, absurd even, that people truly believe morality, or a respect for societal norms, cannot be attained without religion. It’s truly an insulting view of humanity.
That’s all relative. There’s no such thing as objective truth if there’s no objective standard to compare things against. In the absence of God, no objective standard for morality exists. Each individual makes up his own relative truths and each society makes up its own relative truths. Then, those individuals and societies continually change those “truths” as people change their minds and as public opinion changes.
Also, I believe that the Bible is divinely inspired by God and that His word was written down by men. That can be neither be proven nor disproven, so we’ll just have to agree to disagree on that if you don’t believe it.

Potato Potato
The overwhelming lack of tangible evidence makes me believe it is real.

I would rather live like there is an afterlife and find out I was wrong than live like there is no afterlife and find out I was wrong

What sort of things would you want to do if there was no afterlife to keep you in check?

That is also true of Christianity and is one of the reasons there are 772499028501 different denominations or, now, non-denominational (which is in itself a denomination).
I understand your point, but shifting epistemological dynamics are hardly unique only to the non-religious.
