Does anyone in NOLA not have termite problems? Serious question, very fascinated by how bad y’all have it.

Imagine looking up at night and just being used to seeing millions of termites flying. That is not normal in 99.9999999% of the world.

Anyone not have an infestation? How much does it cost you for annual maintenance and repair?

Had some in Denham Springs yesterday. As of the evening they seemed to have left.

Mine is $300/year for ground bait traps which are at least every 10 feet around the house. Don’t do the liquid. It’s cheaper but not as good and may not last the entire year.

My backyard is part swamp and the neighborhood is totally surrounded by swamp so I get the max protection. They swarm 2x per year. No damage issues to home but some do get inside the house but pretty much die within 24 hours.

Parents reported they had a swarm yesterday. Lasted about 45 minutes.

I have experience with the liquid ain’t baits. Walked into the house once and saw a line of ants. The liquid baits got them out within a few days as they delivered the poison back to their colonies.

Well you have to worry all year about termite colonies in the ground. Not just when they swarm.

My dad and i did the liquid a few years back. Dug a trench ourselves and applied it. But we’re both not getting any younger so i’m going to pay a company soon.

Speaking of, who do you guys recommend? What do you pay?
