Did you even look at the address? It's her daughter, Lori, numbnuts working with her mom until she passed a few years back. She's run this store next to cormiers for 15 years and they have clothing as well as the remainder of the silver business.

It's ok that you don't know everything like you think you do.

Also, I don’t know if OP is a golfer, but there’s plenty of decent golf courses in Monroe and then there’s some nicer ones within an hour drive of there.

This plus some damn good jiu jitsu schools as well. I always bring my gi and my golf clubs when I come back home to visit.

Oh and the the fishing is pretty damn good too.

Take a little drive south and go get you a new pocket knife at Knifeworks in Columbia. Biggest damn knife store in the middle of nofrickingwhere you ever saw. This place must be a money laundering front.

I'm old. I used to love hanging out at the Siesta, probably one of the diviest dive bars I've ever been in. I hear the Waterfront is nice, but it's damn hard to imagine that.

We like Daq's, great chicken sandwiches with jalepeno bread.

I believe the same owners have opened a bar and grill close by called 2J's or something like that.

Going to have to go to Monroe for work next week.

My brother got his undergrad and masters at NLU in the early to mid '80's. The skiing team was stellar and Bubby was good at football. I forget the name of the tall dorm, similar to Kirby Smith, but it was right on the Bayou. I remember Johnnies pizza was a thing.

I'm not worked up I said to go hit up her store and get something nice for his wife and you're splitting hairs because the original location closed so you thought you got me.

Enoch’s

Place was cool and had good food and beer, but the owner (or his wife) were huge a-holes about us coming in there. Lade would check our IDs and if there was any part of the “sticker” rubbed off she wouldn’t serve us.

That was it. Those guys did some serious damage to NLU at that time. What was the punk club they went to?

Black Bayou Lake NWR is a good place for some easy hiking or viewing wildlife. Lots of big gators out there.
