Terrifying. We should never leave our homes again

We probably did have it but the people with BMI>40 with Diabetes have the most issues. Hopefully enough people will get mild cases to have herd immunity. The sick and old need to stay home as much as possible. Wash Hands and sanitize.

How was he able to get a test after only having fever for one day?

A friend of mine's wife had symptoms: fever, cough, bad body aches, etc. She got tested and tested positive for Covid. My friend had a fever for ONE day (100.3) and had no other symptoms. He also tested positive. He had a fever for that one day and felt fine after.

Basically, he never would have known he had it if his wife hadn't been seriously sick. He would have shrugged it off as a small bug.

I know I'm repeating what everyone is saying, but that's why staying home is so important and this is why so many people are getting sick. We will probably all have it as some point, and most of us won't even realize it.

Friend's wife is recovering, btw. She didn't have breathing issues, just what she describes as "exhaustion and aches".

Why is that scary? They both recovered at home. When someone is sick at home, there's always a chance that another family member in that home can get it? What am I missing that you're saying?

I traveled a ton right before the country locked down. I’m basically positive I have had it but was a symptomatic. I think the same is for the majority of the world.

I've read that 9 times. Nine. Please point on the screen for me, to the "so scary" part.

Almost certain I had it back in Feb. Similar to your friend. Chest killed me, but only had a spiking fever for a day. Just severe chest pains.

If you know you’re just repeating what everybody is saying then why are you starting another thread saying the same thing?

Bruh, so if nobody knew COVID existed both would have had the same outcome.

I’ve had fever two days over a week ago, nothing since. The only thing that has been lingering as been this burning cough. I only went and got tested because I woke up last Sunday at 6am coughing. It’s been 6 days since I have been tested. I still have not gotten my results.

So if your test comes back positive you will be included in the number used to scare people even though you will be recovered by the time you know you are positive

If your mom caught the flu, what would the likely outcome be?

I do not consider your mom a weakling, she is someone who is immunodeficient and should be practicing hyper hygiene and social distancing regularly and routinely.

With this outbreak, she should have been isolating and quarantining this whole time. But just because she does, doesn’t mean we should have shut everything down
