You can also look at previous year’s US data and it generally leans in most years that getting the shot even when there’s a late mutation (that they can miss given the timing of creation of the newest shot) will still reduce your risk of hospitalization.

At my annual earlier this year they wanted to give me a flu shot, a COVID shot, a pneumonia shot and a Shingles shot.

I got the Shingles shot.

It's certainly making its way around 'here.

I won't take the flu or covid shot. Haven't taken the flu shot in well over 25 years, and I will never take the covid shot.

I take Zinc daily, plus I believe in my immune system.

I don’t think I’ve got the flu just a dry cough that won’t go away and a headache from hell, otherwise I feel fine.

I’m fairly certain I had the flu the week before thanksgiving. I ate through a lot of my days off when my daughter was born earlier this year so I just roughed it out. shite sucked.

Went to Colorado and was sick by the time I landed back at my home airport. Figured it was just a nasty cold, but maybe it was the flu.

I have only been sick once in my entire life that felt how y'all describe the flu, so either I have only had the flu once in my life or I get it like everyone else and it just doesn't hit me that hard.

I've never taken the flu shot, FWIW.

Flu A is just beginning to rip through southern Massachusetts, the vaccine not a great match, and our hospital unit is filling up - 10 out of 30 beds over the last 5 days.

Fortunately, it is responding well to Tamiflu.

I only get the flu shot because I often do work in hospitals.

I’ve never tested positive for flu. Actually I’m not sure I’ve ever been tested for flu. But I’m also not a pussy.

Nor has any of my three kids. I’m a firm believer in taking your as outside to go play and you’ll start feeling better.

People running to the doctor for a $300 pill to help the symptoms of flu is lulz

Is it that bad now that the flat Earthers have united against the flu shot?

I'm just going to bump this thread instead of making a new one. Woke up yesterday morning with a dry cough, head congestion, chills, low grade fever, and muscle aches. Urgent care came back negative for flu a, b, and covid, but guessing that might have been because it was too quick to detect. Feels like the flu. Now today I can barely move from my bed with severe muscle fatigue in my legs. This is what I imagine runners feel like after running a marathon

Anyone else dealing with this shite? Likely caught this at work late last week with everyone coming back sick after new years.

There has been other stuff going around. Some of us had a 2-3 day fever and congestion/cough bug. Affected everyone differently. Negative for Covid/Flu AB on home test.

The flu shot is the only “vaccine” I take. It’s actually the only one my doctor recommends and dude was totally against taking the Covid vaccine
