well we only know of the ones that get caught, no?
plenty of people could have been successful and we would just never know

You need me to list out types of businesses where many of the transactions are done via cash?
If you think real hard I bet you can come up with a few.
Where's the back story on how you acquired such businesses?
We need more details.
At least pretend like you know what the frick you're talking about.
You don't know and that's fine but you sure play the know it all end of it pretty good.

I do laugh at the just pay cash for everything like groceries, eat out, buying clothes, other services... So, when you get audited and IRS pulls bank and credit card statements, they'll just overlook the fact that you never eat and or shop?
Why would they be auditing me in the first place?

I am convinced I could launder 50k a year fairly easily. Money above that would be hard. If I remember the show correctly they were trying to launder 125K a week through a car wash. That was problematic.

I think the major thing would be real estate,
Someone mentioned it previously but didn't get into specifics.
Truthfully to even be a small time launderer you need a decent to above average job with a good credit score so that if you are ever looked at you can show where your "investment" money came from.
Buy a house on an owner carried contract in Florida. You can use cash to renovate and turn it into a rental.
Do it again. Refinance. Then again. In a few years you've got something going. It'll take time and you can't quit your day job.
But one day, if you don't get caught doing whatever it is you're doing to acquire your illegal money, you can have a nice business and a great retirement.

That is a way of thinking about it, I guess you could try it and find out.

She had over $30k in coins. The bank was thrilled to death that i was helping out with the coin shortage, and literally said bring back all of it if you can. did that pass the sniff test?
should have melted that shite down. Raw material value of those coins about 50k lol. I mean, as long as we are covering illegal shite in this thread lets cover illegal shite like melting down currency for the metal contained therein which is VERY illegal.

You probably need to direct this question towards the Clintons and Hunter Biden.

could my wife have an OnlyFans account with a bunch of bots?
I feel like this thread is ignoring the internet and only focusing on the more traditional avenues

The IRS does do random sampling audits.

Looks like two viable routes for long term success:
1. The Clinton Route: Give speeches to groups for $250-500k per speech.
2. The Biden Route: Sell shitty art for $250k-$500 per piece.

Now that's an interesting idea. The catch would be opening up a ton of bank accounts for the bots with no relationship to you.

Lots of people legally acquire or open bars in this country. It's not hard and does not require a ton of money to start, but you can then use that business to launder money once it's open by mixing the dirty cash with the clean.
I would wager most people on this board were aware bars are not all that expensive to acquire, but clearly not all of them.

I thought about that like 5 seconds after I posted that
setting up a bunch of individual accounts to pay you would be a hard work around, I would think

I'd think bars are risky because alcohol is more highly controlled than other types of product. Personally, I'd stay away from tobacco, alcohol, fuel, and anything hazardous waste.

You'd have to be purchasing enough alcohol to align with the inflated receipts and books you've cooked. Even if most of it went down the drain.

Right, but if I'm not doing anything to draw attention to myself, what is the likelihood that I get caught in a random IRS audit?

well she does have a bunch of the silver dimes and copper pennies.
a silver dime is currently worth $1.62.
a copper penny is only worth 1.7 cents.

No. Owning a gallery. For clarity, I am broke and claim all gains. It is 100 times easier to pay taxes. I have researched how people do this when I got on a Narcos and breaking bad kick. It isn't very hard, just time consuming. You 100% can do it through crypto and an off shore account like Luxembourg. And I don't feel comfortable talking about it
