Old landing is a great place.
Agreed, especially if you never had to leave the house. It's two miles to the the intersection of 8th and Hwy 21. Depending on the time of day, the hospital and SPS traffic backs up at the stoplight. Going up Jahncke is more of the same, except it's Boston St and SSA traffic.
Of course the upside is that because it is a bit off of the beaten path and kind of a pain in the arse to get back here, it keeps it peaceful. I can't really complain.

Yep. Jumped off of plenty of docks there as a teenager.

SIAP: Just drove on Airline by Parkview Baptist School. Some very strong winds hit here. The traffic light is turned around. And I saw some large debris (from a roof sign) in the Audi dealership parking lot.

Is there anyone in Lacombe right now that can tell me what's going on? I'm not home right now I'm across the lake in New Orleans. My house is near the intersection of 190 and Lake Rd. /LA-434

Business is starting to pick up in Mid City NOLA. Lots of heavy rain and wind. Hope the power stays on... it goes out here when it's sunny and 72 degrees #ThanksEntergy

Lost power in Metry at 11:40

Had a tiny bit of hail in Metairie. Could hear it on my roof and windows, but couldn't see it on the ground. Yard and street are flooded, and lightning show has been nice. Dog took a dump, and came back in looking like he went swimming.
Of course, half of the a-holes on the interstate were going 10. I don't understand why if you're that scared of driving, you wouldn't just pull over

Does the line seem to have slowed down?
Posted on 4/14/18 at 12:02 pm to CWilken21
Intensity, yes. It has been constantly the same medium-level rain for 20 minutes. West to East speed, no

Just starting to pick up Uptown.

I've lost power at the office 7 times so far this year.
Posted on 4/14/18 at 12:05 pm to LSUFanHouston
I’ve lived here for 18 years and the only time I’ve ever lost power was for Hurricanes and every now and then a flicker when a really strong storm comes through.
Posted on 4/14/18 at 12:06 pm to tgrbaitn08
Depends on the area. I used to live on st patrick and the power would literally go out from a hard wind.
Posted on 4/14/18 at 12:07 pm to tgrbaitn08
I lose power probably once a month. Its actually impressive at this point.
Posted on 4/14/18 at 12:07 pm to tgrbaitn08
Coming down really good on magazine street right now. Power has been on and everything though.

I must be on the hospital grid
